Mum's night off - with Jo Middleton aka Slummy Single Mummy and young adult author, Karen Gregory on Tuesday 7th May, 7.30pm
Slummy Single Mummy blogger and author JO MIDDLETON joins young adult author and former MTW member KAREN GREGORY at the Spring Festival - of literature and the arts on Tuesday 7th May 2019. Join them for talk about writing, motherhood and managing both at Swindon Arts Centre.
Jo was a single mum at 16 but that didn't stop her going on to be a top 'influencer' with a blog attracting over 400,000 visitors a year - named top Mummy blog in 2018 by Vuelio - and the author of Playgroups and Prosecco.
Karen took up fiction writing again after the birth of her first child and, like Jane Austen and many other women before her, became 'adept at writing round the edges'.
Karen's first book, Countless featured a pregnant teen with an eating disorder.
Her second, Skylarks, is a wrong-side-of-the-tracks courageous love story between Joni and Annabel.
The latest book, I Hold Your Heart, due out this July, watches the love between Gemma and Aaron turn from intense to controlling.
